BANISTER 75 W is a herbicide in group B according to its mode of action classification. It is a post-emergence, selective herbicide for the control of broadleaf weeds. BANISTER 75 W is absorbed by the stem and leaves of weeds and taken into the plant texture. It is a herbicide in the sulfonylurea chemical class. Affects susceptible weeds through inhibition of the enzyme acetolactate synthase (ALS). Inhibition of ALS leads to rapid cessation of cell division and subsequent growth processes in plants.
